Seniors Ashley St. Louis and Zach Pierson received the Stanley St. Louis Athletes of the Year at LaSalle High School (LHS) during the awards ceremony Monday, June 5.

St. Louis, who received the award for the second consecutive year, was a standout in basketball, volleyball, and track, while Pierson excelled in football, basketball, and track.

Other award recipients are as follows:

The Curly Nelson Memorial Citizenship Award: Junior Kelsey Cryderman, basketball and track, and senior Paul Davis, football and track, received the award named in memory of a former LHS employee.

David Frazier Memorial Workhorse Award: Seniors Krista LaVake, basketball, volleyball, and softball, and Joe Brown, golf, received this award in memory of a LHS graduate and member of the armed forces.

James Brown Scholar-Athlete Award: Seniors Jenny Massaway, basketball, volleyball, and softball, and Brad Silet, golf and basketball, received this award in honor of Mr. Brown.

The Army National ScholarAthlete Award: Seniors Chelcee Tiernan, cross country and volleyball, and Kyle O'Boyle, golf, basketball, and baseball, received this military award.

The Marine Scholar Excellence Award: Senior Sam Wyers, basketball, volleyball, and softball, and Michael Green, wrestling and track, received this military awards.
