Smack dab in the middle of the summer heat, the Snows have returned from their extended visit to New York; possibly along the way they passed the youth group and Pastor Tim and Kathy Miller and Dale and Evelyn Burgess as they were headed there on a mission trip.

Congratulations to Mark and Amanda Livermore on their wedding Saturday, July 29. The day turned out sunny and hot and friends and family from near and far joined together in love and well wishes for the young couple. Grandparents on both sides were in attendance as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins, young and old alike.

Word came from our son Sunday that the temperature in Iraq was a balmy 113 degrees. I told him Michigan is not far behind, we are projected to be close to 100 degrees this week, too.

Folks in our area who continue to fight health battles, back home after hospital stays, are Mary Hart and Shine Paquin. Continued get well wishes to Ray Derusha and Darlene Shoemaker.

The McCarry whirlwind tour continues. Rosie McCarry Prater and her sister, Wanda McCarry Graham, returned home following a party for their niece, who was recently admitted to the Michigan State Bar, followed by a 90 birthday celebration for their sister, Violet Shipley, in Lansing.
