The following are reports from the St. Ignace Police Department from July 14 to July 31:

A St. Ignace man called police to report that a man has been repeatedly threatening him for several months and, Tuesday, July 25, attempted to assault him. The complainant said the man told him he owed him money. The complainant told police he does not want to press charges and only wanted to make a record of the incident.

Police were called twice to a motel on North State Street Sunday, July 23, for excessive noise. A large gathering of juveniles were disbursed back to their motel rooms, but police were asked to return later that night when the motel manager began getting more complaints from customers about the noise. Police issued breathalyzer tests for two minors, who registered under the state's zero tolerance level and were released. Police issued a second warning to the juveniles to keep the noise down.

No citations were issued following a fight at a Church Street apartment complex Tuesday, July 25. Only one man remained when police arrived. He was told to go back to his apartment.

An exhaust fan on the third floor of an apartment overheated and caused smoke to fill a third floor hallway at Bridgeview Apartments Saturday afternoon, July 29. Police and firefighters were dispatched. There were no injuries.

One minor in possession citation, two false alarms, and one citation for operating a vehicle while intoxicated were reported from Sunday, July 16, to Monday, July 31.

There were also two hit-andrun incidents reported, with no suspects in either case. A St. Ignace woman's 2002 Mercury was hit by another car while it was parked in the lot at Glen's Market Friday, July 14. A Flint woman's 2001 Oldsmobile was hit while it was parked on Chambers Street Monday, July 24.

Three larcenies were reported. A woman's black and gold Fugi Moneteray 27-speed bicycle was stolen from the parking lot of the Thunderbird Motel Sunday morning, July 23. The bicycle had a thick tube on the bottom of the frame, a shock post seat, a bell, and a mirror on the left handlebar.

Another bicycle was reported stolen at the Subway Restaurant on North State Street Sunday, July 30. The bicycle was black and white with a stripe on the body frame and equipped with two chrome fenders. It had a 2005 Mackinac Island bicycle license on it.

Two flags, a State of Michigan flag and an American flag, each three feet by five feet, were stolen from the flag post of a Hombach Street residence sometime during the night of Friday, July 28. The owner said he forgot to take the flags down that night.
