Corvette Crossroads Show Planned at Mackinaw City

The Seventeenth Annual Corvette Crossroads Auto Show is scheduled for Friday, August 25, and Saturday, August 26, in downtown Mackinaw City.

The weekend begins Friday with a Karaoke Sunset Boat Cruise aboard Arnold Transit's Algomah. The cruise is open to the public. It will include a cash bar, Karaoke, snacks, and a trip on the Straits of Mackinac. Food is available for an additional charge. The boat leaves from the end of the state dock on South Huron Avenue at 8 p.m. Participants can purchase tickets for $15 at the Greater Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday's car show will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hundreds of Corvettes will be lined up next to the Ember's Restaurant on the corner of South Huron Avenue and US-23. During the day, a poker walk for participants will also take place.

The day's festivities will culminate with a Corvette parade across the Mackinac Bridge at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per car. This charge is included in the registration fee. The Corvettes will leave from the show site, cruise down South Huron Avenue to Central Avenue, and continue to the Bridge.

The Auto Show is hosted by the Chamber, which has labeled the event "a must for Corvette vacationers." It is also supported by area businesses.

Visitors can enjoy Mackinaw City's local beaches, parks, boat ferries to Mackinac Island, historic sites complete with tours, and an arts and craft show that will take place during the Auto Show.
