Mark Schafer Glen Donahue, coach of the Kirtland Community College in Roscommon, announces he recently signed Mark Schafer, a 2005 graduate of LaSalle High School, to play basketball for the Firebirds.

"Mark has been a quality player for quite a few years and is a good scorer and we are looking forward to having him as a Firebird," said Coach Donahue.

Schafer scored 10.3 points for the Saints and during two seasons at Alanson averaged 19.7 as a sophomore and 28.7 points as a junior.

Kirtland is entering its sixth season as a member of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association.
