Rudyard Schools To Hold Registration

New student registration for Rudyard Area Schools will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, August 28, and Tuesday, August 29. School begins Tuesday, September 5.

Registration will be held in all buildings in the Rudyard school district. New students in the Kincheloe, R.J. Wallis Elementary School, and attendance area will register at the R.J. Wallis office, and new elementary students who live in Dafter, Trout Lake, and the Rudyard area will register at the Turner-Howson Elementary School office in Rudyard.

Both elementary schools include grades kindergarten to

five. New Rudyard Middle School and Rudyard High School students may register at the appropriate school office in Rudyard. The school is on Second Street.

Registration for school requires the student's birth certificate, updated immunization record, and a Social Security number.

Students must be five years of age by December 1, 2006, to start kindergarten. The Michigan School Readiness four-year-olds program may have openings for children who are four years of age by December 1. For more information about the program, contact the elementary school.
