The Pickford Community

Wellspring gave $200 to the

Pickford Historical Society at the group's Quilt Show at

the newly remodeled museum

in Pickford. DiAnn Firack, Wellspring treasurer, presents the check to Stanley

Schmitigal, president of the Historical Society, to benefit

the program. The objective of the Wellspring, formed in 2004 under the umbrella of

the Chippewa County

Community Foundation, is to support and enhance the quality of life for area citizens

through community

enhancement, cultural and educational events, scholarships,

and youth activities.
