The Reverend Thomas Skrenes, the bishop of the Northern Great Lakes Lutheran Synod, will bless the new Family Life Addition at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Ignace at 11 a.m. Sunday, August 27.

Both Zion Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran Church of Brevort are participating in the event, which is open to the public.

The addition to the church includes a gathering space for meetings, new offices, and handicapped accessible bathrooms.

A chicken fry and potluck meal, as well as music and games, will be held at the church afterward. For more information, call 643-7870.
