Traffic crossing the Mackinac Bridge in July decreased 8 percent compared to traffic levels in July, 2005, reported the Mackinac Bridge Authority.

This July, 579,192 vehicles crossed the bridge, while 629,342 crossed last July. Traffic for the year is 4 percent behind last year's pace, with 2,261,908 vehicles crossing this year, and 2,356,499 vehicles crossing last year.
