Farmers Market Offers Wide Variety

The farmer's market in Sault Ste. Marie sells produce and meat Wednesdays from 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Maple and Ashmun streets, behind the Chippewa County Courthouse Annex.
Canning foods include fresh tomatoes, green beans, beets, sweet
corn, and dill. Eggs, fish, flowers, herbs, maple syrup, honey, and prepared foods are also available, and locally produced beef and poultry can be ordered for pick-up.
Musicians are being sought to perform at the market during the fall. Anyone interested in playing should call Michigan State University Extension at (906) 635-6368.
