Seattle artist and St. Ignace native M.J. Bishop performed a concert at Windermere Point on Mackinac Island Tuesday, August 15. Ms. Bishop has lived in Seattle since her graduation from college, but said her visits to the Straits area always are nostalgic. "This is just heavenly," she said of her performance on the Island, telling the audience stories of summers spent on the Island swimming in Grand Hotel's pool. Ms. Bishop also performed a song called "Straits of Mackinac" and kept her show lively with an audience singalong. The concert was sponsored by the Mackinac Arts Council.
