78 Golfers Compete in Cedarville High Golf Scramble
Seventy-eight golfers competed in the Les Cheneaux Club Golf Scramble sponsored by the Cedarville High School girls and boys basketball teams Friday, August 18.
The team of Greg McLeod, Wayne Hesselink Sr., Dennis Healy, and Wayne Hesselink Jr. took first place, winning a Boyne Highlands Golf Package. The foursome from the Rolland family that includes Jeremy, Jeff, Jim, and Jay, placed second and won a Gaylord
Black Forest Package. The group of Jon Clegg, Richie Boal, and Matt Romatz tied with Mark, Joe, and Dave Causley, and Dave Landreville for third place.
In the mixed team division, the foursome of Bob Newell, Shannon Thon, Jeff Autore, and Ashley Overlock finished first, winning a golf package from The Rock at Drummond Island. The team of Rob and Brianna Freel and Paul and Dawn Griffin took second, winning a package from the
Munoscong Club. Dana and Kim Lofdahl, Shantelle Bryant, and Ted Gough placed third, winning a package from the Sault Country Club.
During the special events, Charlie Collins had the longest putt on number six, Kelley Collins and Brandon B. were closest to the rope on number three, Dennis Healy was closest to the pin on number one, and Kathy Trevarrow was closest to the pin on number nine.
