The team received a grant from the National Drug Court Institute to pay for the training, which was offered by the Institute.
With a goal of developing a drug court in Mackinac and Luce counties, the team will next begin to search for federal and state funds to implement the program. The drug court will provide intensive monitoring and treatment for drug offenders.
