Reports from the St. Ignace Police Department from October 26 to November 13:

A 41-year-old homeless man from St. Ignace was lodged at the Mackinac County Jail for being disorderly Tuesday, October 31. The man was pounding on doors at two residences that night, and police were called in after the complainants believed the man was trying to enter the house.

Police found the man intoxicated in a driveway on Water Tower Street. When police could not locate a relative, the man was lodged in jail.

The man was lodged in jail again Wednesday, November 8, after police found him sleeping in a resident's yard around 2 a.m.

with an open alcoholic beverage nearby. Police were called to the scene after the man again attempted to enter a house on Fleming Street.

No property damage was found when a St. Ignace man called police after hearing a loud noise outside his home on Truckey Street around 9 p.m. Monday, October 30. The man told police when he heard the noise, he looked out his window and saw a group of teenagers walking on the street.

A 21-year-old woman reported to police Monday, November 6, that she has been receiving harassing telephone calls from two women, first at her workplace and then in her cell phone voice mail. The woman asked to file a report in case future incidents occur.

St. Ignace city police, November 7, transferred to tribal police an investigation in which an injured resident of tribal land, who appeared to be confused or intoxicated, tried to enter another resident's outbuilding. The man was transported to Mackinac Straits Hospital by ambulance.

Police responded to two separate incidents involving a St. Ignace woman, in which the woman was transported to Mackinac Straits Hospital twice and her minor child was escorted into his father's custody. There were three false alarms reported and police assisted other emergency responders in the area on five occasions.
