Valora "Lucille" Eisenman, 77, of Pine River Road in St. Ignace Township, moved to the area from Milford in 1988 with her husband, Robert. Mrs. Eisenman died Monday evening, November 6, 2006, at Mackinac Straits Hospital in St. Ignace, following a lingering illness.

She was born January 4, 1929, in McClure, Illinois, one of 11 children of Robert and Amy (nee Kirk) Burris. Following high school graduation, she came to Detroit to work, and met Robert Eisenman there. They were married January 3, 1948. Mr. Eisenman worked for the F.B. Wright Company in the Detroit area for 40 years, while the Eisenmans made their home in Milford.

Mrs. Eisenman was a member of the Eagles Club and of the Women of the Moose Chapter of St. Ignace.

Mrs. Eisenman is survived by four children and their families, Robert "Rob" Eisenman of Pine River, Casey Brumm of Wixom, Donna Wright of Pennsylvania, Barbara and Mark Kinjorski of Pine River; two brothers and their families, Gilbert and Barbara Burris of North Carolina and Buck Burris of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters and their families, Carol Glasson of Williamsburg and Anola Bowerman of McClure, Illinois; 17 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who died June 15, 2006, and by six siblings, Robert and William Burris, Betty Glasson, Doris Landroth, and two who died in infancy.

Services were Friday, November 10, at Dodson Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Lane officiated.
