"Every runner improved their times from the beginning of the season," said Coach Brown. "They all had strong work ethics in a mentally and physically tough sport."

Head Coach Ben Brown, in his fourth season, awarded the Dan MacDonald Memorial Most Valuable Golfer Award to sophomore Tyler Mapes, while the Rudy Yellen Memorial Most Improved Golfer was shared by sophomores Jeffrey Gamble and Dan Christiansen.

Mapes, who earned All-SAC first team and finished third at the districts, sliced his average by six strokes from last year, and led the team with a nine-hole average of 40.4 and 18-hole mark of 79.9. The sophomore's personal best was 38 for nine holes and 76 for 18 while carding low medal honors five times during the season.

Gamble, an honorable mention All-SAC player, improved his scoring by five shots, averaged 43 for nine holes and 88 for 18 while recording individual low scores of 39 for nine and 83 for 18.

Christiansen improved his game by 11 shots from last year and registered low scores of 43 for nine holes and 96 for 18. Remaining members of the team included Lewie Mullins, Justen Frazier, and Corey Swope.

"I was pleased with the overall effort of everyone this season," said Coach Brown. "We lost six

standout seniors last year and this was a young squad that worked hard and improved throughout the season."
