Gould City
Only a few more nights before "Ho! Ho! Ho!” will be stopping in to see all of us good girls and boys. We have to be sure to be really good, at least for the next few days.
Of course, my family knows that I stay that way all year long.
The Live Nativity Scene produced by the Engadine Methodist Church Saturday, December 16, was a great success. They had a huge crowd, and everyone was in awe as they passed through the streets of “Bethlehem.” What a
delight for the little ones to see. The rainy weather didn't deter the crowd. I guess I was the only one who couldn't attend. I should, however, be getting some pictures for all of you to see.
The Engadine Methodist Church will be having its Christmas Eve service Sunday, December 24. The candlelight service will be at 7 p.m. and the Christmas Eve service at 11 p.m.
It always seems that this time of year, when we realize Christmas is upon us, it doesn't seem like a whole year has already gone by – The First Baptist Church in but it has. It may not be "white" for Christmas, but it will be happy anyway.
Christmas time is also a time of remembering those less fortunate than we are. The CBC (Cancer- Bay Cliff-Crippled Children and Adults Organization) is reminding everyone of memorial donations are a meaningful way to express your sympathy and help others at the same time. Notification of your donation is sent directly to a family member. Donation envelopes are available at local funeral homes. All donations go directly to the family suggested on the donation.
Manistique is holding its second annual Semi-Formal Father/ Daughter "Valentine Dance" Saturday, February 10, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Tickets are $40 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter. You may purchase tickets directly by calling Bob Sands at (906) 341-6507 or Christi Ryan at (906) 341-6385.

There will be a free meal at the Engadine Methodist Church Wednesday, December 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be Christmas games, candy, and prizes for the children following the meal. Everyone is welcome.
