Engadine Wins Home Opener
Chris Keller Engadine After playing its first three games on the road, the Engadine basketball team returned home to dominate Grand Marais during a 74-26 non-conference win Tuesday, December 12.
"It was nice to be playing at home after three games on the road," said Eagles Coach Elmer Albright.

OT Defeat
E n g a d i n e suffered a disappointing overtime non-conference road setback to Mid Peninsula 47-46 Friday, December 15.
The Eagles trailed 42-29 after three quarters before outscoring the Wolverines 15-2 in the final period to send the game into the extra four minutes tied at 44.
The teams combined for five points with the host team holding a 3-2 offensive edge during the lowscoring overtime period.
"We had solid shots that just didn't fall," said Eagles Coach Elmer Albright. "After scoring just two points, we still had a chance to win at the buzzer, but again, the shot didn't go through the hoop."
Mid Peninsula held a 12-11 scoring edge after the first eight minutes and outscored Engadine 19-9 in the second quarter for a 31- 20-halftime lead.
The Wolverines increased the lead to 42-39 after the third quarter, with an 11-9 margin, before the Eagles strong performance in the final period turned the game around.
