Les Cheneaux Artists Postpone Dockside Event to Next Year

Members of the Les Cheneaux Artisan Cooperative will be unable to reschedule Music and Art Dockside this summer, owing to scheduling conflicts with many of the artists and vendors who planned to attend the festival Sunday, July 16. Many have already committed themselves to other functions for the rest of the season.

The cooperative, which sponsors the event, is making plans for next year's event and the Labor Day weekend event, Art in the Park, in Cedarville.

Music and Art Dockside was canceled this summer when strong winds and heavy rains demolished

many of the show's tents and canopies the morning of the show July 16, prompting organizers to call the event off.

Cooperative members discussed rescheduling last week, and voted to devote efforts to Art in the Park and next year's Music and Art Dockside.
