26th Annual EUP Senior Day Will Include Entertainment

The 26th annual Eastern Upper Peninsula Senior Day is Friday, August 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Sault Ste. Marie. Chippewa-LuceMackinac Community Action is hosting the free event, which includes breakfast at Central Savings Bank from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., live entertainment on Ashmun Street at 10 a.m., free downtown parking in all meter and permit areas, and a lunch at noon at Avery Square on Ashmun Street.

A senior health fair will be held in Avery Square, from 9 a.m. to 12

p.m. and will offer educational displays from the Chippewa County Health Department, War Memorial Hospital, and blood pressure and cholesterol screening. There will be a charge for the screenings. Free Dial-A-Ride services, senior citizen transportation service, will be offered to senior citizens 60 years and older. Call (906) 632-6882 to arrange a ride.
