Opera House To Feature Ragtime Pianist, Artist Robert Milne Aug. 5

Noted ragtime pianist and "Boogie Woogie" artist Robert Milne will perform at the Cheboygan Opera House in Cheboygan Saturday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be preluded by a performance by the A la Carte Quartet from Ann Arbor. The group, which sings four-part women's harmony, will perform at 7 p.m.

Mr. Milne is regarded as a top ragtime pianist in the country, and is having a documentary film made about him by an Emmy award-winning film crew. He has a music degree in French

horn performance, and has played with some of the top symphonies in the country. His piano playing career includes 30 years of performance at concert halls, nightclubs, and saloons. He has written some 40 piano rags, as well as classical songs, two concertos, a collection of poetry, and two novels.

Tickets are available at The Opera House box office. All seats must be reserved in advance. Tickets are $15 for Cheboygan Area Arts Council members and $18 for nonmembers. Student tickets are $8.
