Cedarville Program Will Focus on Maintaining Brain Health

The public is invited to attend a presentation about maintaining a healthy brain lifestyle Tuesday, August 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Les Cheneaux Community Library in Cedarville.

Jean Whitman-Shelby, program coordinator of the Alzheimer's Association Upper Peninsula Region, will share information on how the brain works and changes with age, how the heart and brain are connected, and how social connections and emotional health affect the brain.

This workshop is part of a national campaign to change the way Americans think about brain health. Participants will hear how to live "a brain healthy lifestyle."

There is no registration fee but donations will be accepted. Participants must register in advance, as seating is limited. Call Ms. Whitman-Shelby at (800) 2723900 to register.
