Smiths Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Terry and Sharon (nee Erskine) Smith of Evergreen Shores were married on August 25, 1956, at the Erskine residence in Allenville, and are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple's parents were Elvin and Agnes Smith of Evergreen Shores and James and Elta Erskine of Allenville. The bride's sister and her husband, Esther and Kit Langstaff, served as matron-of-honor and best man.

The couple have four children and their families, John and Roxanne Smith, Clark and Roxanne Smith, and Terri Lyn Fitzpatrick and Bill Fitzpatrick, all of St. Ignace, and Tammy and Roger Stascak of Green Bay. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will celebrate with an open house in their honor Saturday, August 19, at the VFW Hall in St. Ignace.
