180 Children Enjoy Free Day at Zoo

More than 180 children enjoyed free admission to GarLyn Zoo at Naubinway for its first Kids' Day Celebration Saturday, August 5.

Many dogs and cats were brought to the zoo to promote animal adoption through Mackinac County Animal Control and Animal Shelter, and two dogs found new homes at the event.

Families participated in free children's fingerprinting and received safety information from Mackinac County Sheriff's Department Deputy Dustin Stempky.
