Eric Rye and Julie McDonald

Julie Marie McDonald, daughter of Forbes J. McDonald and the late Lydia P. McDonald of Donaldson, and Eric Michael Rye, son of Dennis Rye and Dylynn Pierce of Pickford, were married at Pickford Presbyterian Church in Pickford July 15, 2006.

The ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the home of the bride's father.

Grandparents of the bride are John and Audrey McDonald of Pickford, and Margaret Jaworsky of Durand. Grandparents of the groom are Eileen DePeel of Pickford and Donna Rye of Pickford.

The groom served in the United States Marines for four years, attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, and was graduated from Border Patrol Academy.

The bride is a graduate of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, where she majored in criminal justice and social work.

The couple will reside in El Paso, Texas, where the groom is employed by the United States Border Patrol.
