TV7&4 Features Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island is featured this week on a "Your Town" series presented by WPBN 7&4 News in Traverse City. The television segments are scheduled to air during the morning broadcast between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m., and during local news broadcasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m.

Reporter Jenn Carlson and chief photographer Bob Rhodes spent last week filming on the Island for five 2.5-minute stories focusing on Mackinac Island State Park, tourism, and culture, including two segments on Island residents, their jobs, and winter life. Five other minute-long segments, Ms. Carlson said, will feature Mayor Margaret Doud, the medical center, families, transportation, and garbage disposal.
