Marjorie Patrick
Marjorie Isobel Patrick, 88, of Cedarville, lived in Detroit for many years before returning to her hometown of Cedarville in her retirement from Henry Ford Hospital. A great supporter of the Les Cheneaux Community Library project, she donated land in downtown Cedarville toward the facility site.

Mrs. Patrick died Sunday, September 17, 2006, at her home.

She was born October 26, 1917, in Sault Ste. Marie to John Algot and Esther Irene (nee Hellman) Nordquist.

She was graduated with the first graduating class from Cedarville High School in 1936. She married Nyle Steven Patrick September 18, 1937, in Pickford. They moved to Detroit to work and raise their family. Mrs. Patrick retired from Henry Ford Hospital, where she had worked in the accounting department, and moved back to Cedarville.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Law-White VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Patrick enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends, corresponding regularly with friends and relatives and enjoying hearing their news, friends said. She loved nature and liked to keep things in their natural state. Mrs. Patrick studied music and played the piano. She liked taking pictures and sharing them with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and visited family in several states and in Finland.

Mrs. Patrick is survived by one son, Nyle Steven Patrick of Kenner, Louisiana; one daughter, Sally Ann Patrick of Sun City, Arizona; three grandchildren, Scott Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Keith Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Rex Robinson of Jackson; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Nordquist, and two nephews, Paul and Terry Nordquist, all of Cedarville.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nyle Steven Patrick.

Amemorial service will be held in Cedarville at a later date.

Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford is serving the family.
