St. Ignace American Legion To Sponsor Baseball/Softball Event

The St. Ignace American Legion will sponsor the first baseball/ softball tournament at LaSalle High School Saturday, May 19, 2007.

St. Ignace, Newberry, Harbor Springs, and Alanson will compete for the baseball title and, for the softball title, St. Ignace, Newberry, Harbor Springs, and Munising will battle.

The tournament will include six-inning games, and follow Michigan High School Athletic Association's mercy rule. There will be a one hour and 45 minute time limit.

Newberry and Harbor Springs will battle in the baseball and softball openers.
