Eastern U.P. UAW Retirees To Meet

Retired members of the United Auto Workers (UAW) who live in the Eastern Upper Peninsula may attend the annual UAW Christmas party Thursday, December 14, at the American Legion Hall in Hulbert. There will be no meetings in January, February, or March 2007. The first meeting of the new year will take place Thursday, April 19, 2007.

Members may attend these meetings to socialize and to receive information from health care representatives regarding recent adjustments to UAW medical benefits. The UAW drop-in center is located in the Chippewa Township Hall on M-28. It will be open Wednesdays, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To reach the drop-in center, call (906) 274-5326.
