Realtor Schlehuber Attends Conference

Cheryl Schlehuber of St. Ignace attended the National Association of Realtors Conference and Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 10 through November 13.

Mrs. Schlehuber is broker and owner of Mackinac Properties Real Estate Company in St. Ignace. She attended the conference to represent the Water Wonderland Board of Directors and its 400 members. This is her eighth national convention.

In the wake of the Hurricane Katrina devastation of the city in 2005, conference sessions were mostly about the city’s effort to rebuild, she reported, and included a keynote presentation by former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, who spoke about the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund to promote financial self-sufficiency, economic opportunity, and quality of life for residents of the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina.
