Head Start Tots Visit News Office

Children from Community Action Head Start classes in St. Ignace enjoyed visiting The St. Ignace News office Tuesday, December 5, learning about how the weekly newspaper and other printed materials are produced. The youngsters and their teachers took a tour of the newsroom, advertising department, and print shop, and saw pages of the newspaper being prepared on production day. The newspaper pages are produced by newspaper staff on Tuesday and sent over the Internet to a printer in Big Rapids Tuesday night. They are trucked to St. Ignace early Wednesday morning for distribution.
