Mackinaw City Athletes Earn All-League Honors

Nine Mackinaw City athletes earned Northern Lakes Conference All-Academic and All-Conference honors in cross country and girls basketball.

Also, one football player received Ski Valley All-Conference honors. Spencer McFarland and Kevin

Darrow earned All-Academic honors during the cross country season. Receiving All-League honors were Kevin Darrow, Brandyn Clemens, Chris Laninga, and Katie Smydra in cross country.

Mackinaw City’s Jack Alexander received All-League football honors in the Ski Valley Conference

from the Pellston football program. Mackinaw City is part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s co-op program with Pellston in football.

Receiving honorable mention for the Comets in cross country were Ciara McVey, Barry Paquet, and Eric Pargiel.
