Reports from the St. Ignace Police Department from January 15 to February 5:

A St. Ignace woman contacted police Monday, January 15, after receiving threatening telephone calls from a Newberry man. Police were unable to contact the man and advised the woman to try to locate a phone number to the man to give police in case he calls again.

A16-year-old male was returned home after he reportedly ran away.

A St. Ignace woman was found unharmed at the Pellston Airport after her husband reported to police she was kidnapped Friday, January 26. The woman reportedly called her husband on the telephone and told him that she had been kidnapped. After police arrived, the woman called back and told her husband she took a taxi to the airport and that she was not kidnapped.

ASt. Ignace man was warned by police to stop calling and harassing a St. Ignace woman after the man was asked to leave her apartment. Police told the man that if he continues to call, he could be arrested.

A St. Ignace man called police Friday morning, February 2, stating that his son, who was driving to work out of town that day, may be missing. The son returned home in the afternoon, having gotten lost and stuck down a dead-end road. He told police it took him two to three hours to dig himself out of the snow.

A St. Ignace man agreed to have his dog euthanized after he admitted it had bitten a young girl Sunday, February 4. The man reported to police the dog bit the girl after she attempted to grab the dog's collar. Police told him that the Mackinac County Animal Control Officer would contact him to go over the proper course of action.

Police responded to six false alarms, assisted other local emergency response units in five incidents, and cited one person for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
