Wedding
Shannon and Kevin Leonard Shannon Mulally and Kevin Leonard, both of Lansing, were united in marriage Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center on Drummond Island. Pastor Dave Burnett, the groom's uncle, of the Church of God, officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
Originally of Gwinn, the bride is the daughter of Robert and Brenda Mulally of Rockford. She was given in marriage by her father.
The groom, originally of DeTour Village, is the son of George and Angela Leonard of DeTour Village.
The bride wore an off-white strapless dress with brocade and a church-style train. She carried a bouquet of red roses, red dahlias, chocolate calla lilies, bells of Ireland, and seeded eucalyptus.
Erika Mullen of Champlin, Minnesota, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dauvan Mulally of Rockford, Sarah Mulally of Royal Oak, Sue Lillard of Grandville, and Jessie Kutsch of Ferndale. The bridal party was attired in long, strapless truffle dresses and carried bouquets of red dahlias and chocolate calla lilies.
Steve Hoffman of Traverse City served as best man. Groomsmen were Bill Hardy of Stanton, Brad Lange of Clarksville, Dan Meyers of Chicago, Illinois, and Steve Turner of Chicago.
Areception followed the ceremony at Drummond Island Resort.
The bride is employed as director of the Master of Science in Accounting Program in the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, earned in 1995 at Northern Michigan University, and a master's degree in education, earned in 2003 at the university.
The groom is employed as senior program coordinator for Multicultural Business Programs at Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 in hotel, institutional, and restaurant management from Michigan State University and a master's degree in education in 2005 in educational administration from the university.
The couple plans a wedding trip to Spain in May.
