Saints Girls Split Bowling Matches, Boys Drop Both Games

Misti Gamble St. Ignace Misti Gamble St. Ignace St. Ignace girls bowling team split its last two games, defeating Alpena and falling to Rogers City while the boys team lost to Rogers City and Cheboygan during Northern Michigan Bowling Conference play Saturday, February 3, at Rogers City.

Girls Split

The girls split baker games against Alpena 171-121 and 130- 132, but won totals 301 to 253.

Misti Gamble bowled double games of 165-168 (333). Other totals included Desi Allan 150- 158 (308), Brooke Allan 131-155 (286), and Melissa Brown 139- 125 (264), Anna Krause single game of 132, and Sara Tafelski 93.

The Saints lost baker games to Rogers City, 205 to 141 and 177 to 135.

B r o o k e Allan bowled double games of 196-124 (320), Melissa Brown 156-157 (313), Misti Gamble 126- 147 (273), and Anna Krause 130-127 (257) and Desi Allan single game of 121 and Sara Tafelski 93.

Cheboygan is leading the girls standings, followed by Rogers City, St. Ignace, Gaylord Blue, and Alpena.

Boys Drop Pair

St. Ignace boys dropped both baker games to Rogers City 212 to 184 and 256 to 193.

Chris Binger bowled double games of 279- 197 (476), Derek Rutledge 209-180 (389), and Andy Mullins 137-121 (258), Jamin Corwin, in a single game of 168, Trestin Fogelsonger 165, Jeffrey Gamble 161, and Josh Feldman 128.

Jamin Corwin bowled double games of 218-197 (415), Chris Binger 204-193 (397), Derek Rutledge 227-169 (396), and Trestin Fogelsonger 172-159 (331) and Jeffrey Gamble single game of 152 and Andy Mullins 116.

Chris Binger is leading the Saints with an average of 215 and Derek Rutledge at 200.

Rogers City is in first place in the boys standings, followed by St. Ignace, Gaylord Blue, Alpena, Cheboygan, and Gaylord Gold.

St. Ignace will be off Saturday, February 10, before hosting matches at the Gateway Lanes Saturday, February 17, with the girls beginning at 10 a.m. and the boys at 1 p.m.
