Ian Hughey To Serve in Afghanistan

Ian Hughey Ian Hughey, a 2003 LaSalle High School graduate, has deployed with the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing of the U.S. Air Force. He will travel to Bagram, Afghanistan, and serve as crew chief on an A-10 Thunderbolt, a twin-engine jet aircraft designed for close air support of ground forces.

As part of Operation Enduring Freedom, his Wing's mission is to provide aerial support to U.S. and coalition forces.

Crew Chief Hughey is the son of Darwin and Martha Hughey of St. Ignace.
