Warren Coutu
Warren Coutu Warren Thomas Coutu of Cedarville worked in lumber camps and factories throughout most of his life, but also spent many years working as an electric company linesman.
Mr. Coutu served four years as a member of the United States Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Coutu was 85 when he died Friday, July 13, 2007, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
He was born January 2, 1922, in Engadine to Tavin and Mable (nee Anderson) Coutu.
Mr. Coutu enjoyed spending time outdoors, and he was an enthusiastic fisherman and hunter. He loved snowmobiling and liked listening to country and Western music.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie (nee Smith) Coutu; his sister, Ethel Stanfield; a stepson and his family, William and Marlene Tolliver; a stepdaughter and her family, Judith and Richard LaPoint; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three greatgreat grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Coutu was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joseph Coutu and Isadore Coutu, and his sisters, Alvera Gould and Evelyn Patzer.
No services are being planned at this time.
