Mrs. Helen Louise (nee Marshall) Therrien, 73, of Battle Creek, died peacefully in her sleep at home Saturday, July 14, 2007.

She was born February 20, 1934, in Allenville, to William and Henrietta (nee Bohn) Marshall.

Mrs. Therrien was a 20-year government employee at the Federal Center. She was a member of the Pennfield Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Therrien is survived by three daughters and their families, Patricia and Kevin Ryan of Chula Vista, California, Alana Young of Battle Creek, and Paula and Kenneth Zichi of Williamston, and three brothers and their families, Ellsworth Marshall of Marquette, Leroy Marshall of Trout Lake, and John Marshall of Moran. A devoted grandmother, she will forever be "Honey" to her grandchildren and their families, Christopher, Rocky, Caitlin, Ryan, Anna, Courtney, and Sarah, and five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Gabby, Liam, and Yazmin.

Mrs. Therrien was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh Arnold Therrien; two brothers, Fred Marshall and Carl Marshall, and her best friend and sister, Delphine Robinson.

Visitation was held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service Tuesday, July 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Services will be Wednesday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at the Pennfield Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Douglas R. Nettleton officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
