The opening day of practices for high school football, volleyball, cross country, and soccer were announced by the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) for the 2007 fall sports season.

Football is scheduled to begin Monday, August 6. Volleyball, cross country, and soccer practice will begin Monday, August 13.

This will be the first year that girls volleyball will be played in the fall and boys and girls basketball will be played together in the winter, as the MHSAA was directed by a court order to adjust its sports seasons to align with the rest of the nation's seasons.

St. Ignace Football

Equipment

Football equipment for St. Ignace varsity players will be issued at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, and junior varsity will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, at LaSalle High School.

Physicals for all athletes are mandatory and must be completed and registered with the school by Sunday, August 5.
