Laura Schaedig with (from left) her father, Randy Schaedig, and brother, Nick, was the first female runner to complete the 2007 Les Cheneaux Fun Run and Walk in Cedarville. The family ran the race together. Laura Schaedig of Cedarville and Scott Needham of Greenfield, Indiana, were the top runners in the June 30 Les Cheneaux Fun Run and Walk in Cedarville. Susan Linz of East Lansing and George Tschirhart of Cheboygan were the top walkers.

Mr. Needham completed the approximately five-mile course in 30 minutes, 27.06 seconds. Miss Schaedig finished in 38 minutes, 58.07 seconds. Mr. Tschirhart finished in one hour, 14 minutes, and 38 seconds. Mrs. Linz finished in one hour, one minute, and 38 seconds.

This year's youngest runner was Michael Haske, 9, of Cedarville.

The race is hosted and staffed by the Cedarville High School Cross Country team and Coach Ryan Wilson, and proceeds from the race help pay for uniforms and team expenses.
