The Cedarville Trojans Athletic Boosters will host a whitefish dinner and silent auction Friday afternoon, August 10, at Mertaugh's Storage Shed in Hessel. The dinner is open to the public and will raise funds for fourth through eighth grade athletics programs. The Booster Club estimates it needs to raise about $24,000 this year to offset budget reductions ,including transportation for ath- letics.

Whitefish sandwiches or whitefish dinner will be served Friday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The silent auction will continue at Mertaugh Boatworks through Saturday, August 11, until 3 p.m. Items include three, carved wooden birds, a local artisan package, a Trojans fan package, a Mackinac Island get-away package including a two-night stay at Grand Hotel, a casino package, stained glass art, carved benches, and pottery.
