Pixie Haughwoat and Ralph Folsum will present a slide show of their experience cruising canals in southern France Wednesday, August 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the DeTour Public Library.

Their latest book, "Canal Cruising in the South of France," recounts their adventures in 2006 and is a guide to the canal that links the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean.

Ms. Haughwoat and Mr. Folsum live in San Diego, California. Their earlier book, "Well-Favored Passage," is still available and provides detailed coverage of the North Channel.

They have appeared several times at the DeTour Library as guests of the Friends of DeTour Library.

Friends of the Library will serve refreshments following the presentation.
