Summerfest 5K, Triathlon Results

Curt Van of Sault Ste. Marie won the 5,000-kilometer male division run with a time of 17.01 minutes, and Anne Cammenga of Grant took first in the female class with a time of 22.12 during the 11th annual Rudyard Lions Summerfest Sunday, July 29. Mark Hauswirth of Okemos won the male triathlon (5K run, 24K bike, half-kilometer swim) in 1:14.41 and Christine Lawless of Grand Ledge won in the female category with 1:19.40.

Division 5K Winners:

Age 10 and younger: Quinn Schultz (39.21) and Gabby Schultz (36.05), both of Wolverine

Age 17 to 19: Alisha Thompson of Rudyard (23.20)

Age 30 to 39: Dan Wallis of Sault Ste. Marie (19.45)

Age 40 to 49: Betty Litzner of St. Ignace (28.28)

Age 50 to 59: Tom Siuda of Newberry (19.39)

Division Triathlon Results:

Age 19 and younger: Erica Ahlich of St. Ignace (1:29.24)

Age 20 to 29: Paul Morrison of Pickford (1:33.36), Jeff Danbrum of Sault Ste. Marie (1:15.14)

Age 30 to 39: Steve Demidovich of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (1:19.14)

Age 40 to 49: Dan Puddister (1:21.36), and Madeline Belanger, both of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario(1:29.00)

Age 50 to 59: Robert Mayer of Clio (1:16.22), and Marg Meincke of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (1:31.34)

60 and older: Doug Gavriloff of Rock (1:49.43), and Betty Schultz of Drummond Island (2:10.28)

The 2008 event is scheduled for July 26.
