Caleb Rader Caleb Rader Caleb Rader Receives Honors

Caleb Rader, a freshman at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin, has been selected as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference South Division's Player of the Week.

Rader, who was graduated from Maplewood Baptist High School in Kinross and played football for the Pickford Panthers, rushed for 163 yards on 25 carries and scored three touchdowns, with the longest coming on a 63-yard run during the Crusaders' win over Principal College.

The Michigan High School Athletic Asso- ciation will hold its high school football selection show on FSN Detroit at 6:30 p.m Sunday, October 21.

Pairings for 256 schools in the eight divisions will be featured, including local teams St. Ignace Saints (5-2) in Division 7, Cedarville Trojans (8-0), and the Pickford Panthers (6-2 overall) in Division 8.

The Sault Ste. Marie Blue Devils (7-1) and Cheboygan Chiefs (7-1) of the Straits Area Conference, and the Iron Mountain North Dickinson Nordics (7-1 overall) and the Powers North Central Jets (5-3 overall) of the Mid-Eastern Football Conference, have also qualified for the playoffs.
