Bulldogs Fall to Indians in O.T.

Rudyard led by seven points after three quarters, but couldn't hold on as Newberry upended the Bulldogs 59-55 in overtime during a Straits Area Conference (SAC) contest Friday, January 5.

The visitors from Newberry led 11-4 after the first eight minutes before Rudyard outscored the Indians 20-11 for a 24-22 halftime score.

Rudyard, 2- 5 overall and 0- 4 in the SAC, increased the margin to 37- 30 after three quarters, but the Indians sent the game into overtime tied at 49 with a 19-12 advantage and outscored the Bulldogs 10-6 in the extra four-minute period.
