Golf Course Improvements Reported

The St. Ignace Golf Course committee met Tuesday, January 16, and discussed recent improvements to the course, including the purchasing of a new utility vehicle and leveling of the club house deck. Steps were put in on several tees and also at the club house, said course manager Ben Brown, and tees that were leveled include number three and number eight, while work is ongoing on number nine. The projects are part of efforts to get the nine-hole course ready for the spring season, Mr. Brown said.

Greg Cheeseman Sr. heads the golf course committee, which also includes George Yshinski, Paul Grondin, Rob Winkelman, and Jon Olsen. Justin Bird is head greens keeper at the golf course.
