Conservation District To Meet Jan. 25

The Chippewa/East Mackinac Conservation District's 57th annual meeting and dinner will be Thursday, January 25, at 6 p.m. at Bruce Township Hall. The meeting will include elections, recognition for achievements over the year, awards, and prizes, as well as an address by Bill Cook, Michigan State University Extension forester. Mr. Cook writes a column for local newspapers about Upper Peninsula forestry issues.

The dinner will be a potluck, and everyone attending is asked to bring a dish to pass. The Conservation District will provide turkey, potatoes, gravy, and bread.

Bruce Township Hall is on 12 Mile Road, north of Pickford.
