Citizens Propose Monument for Local Fishermen

A group of St. Ignace citizens proposes to create a monument to preserve the long history of the fishing industry in Mackinac County and a memorial for those who have died in the trade. Organizers have compiled names of fishermen who have died in recent years at Naubinway, St. Ignace, and Cedarville, but hope readers can provide additional name, particularly from long ago.
