Rudyard Library Auction Generates $1,137

An auction at the Rudyard Library in December generated $1,137. The library will use the money to buy new materials, such as best-sellers, large-print books, and reference books.

The Friends of the Library sponsored the event, and the public donated a wide variety of items to be auctioned, including baked goods, candy, toys, afghans, quilts, airplane rides, glassware, Christmas trees, wood carvings, and buffalo meat packages.

The Friends' next fundraiser will be a Valentine basket sale in February.

The group accepts donations of used books at any time for its annual summer used book sale.

To donate, contact Elaine Sprague at (906) 478-5693.
