Ashley Bishop Places First in SVSU Throws

Senior Ashley Bishop of Pickford started her final season at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) with two top places during the Cardinal Indoor Open at the Ryder Center at SVSU Friday, January 12.

The former Panthers standout qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in both the shot put, with a throw of 44 feet, two inches, and the weight throw, with a toss of 54'8.75." Bishop won the shot put by nearly six feet.
